April 2024

C4 Youtube launch

In early March this year, a group of us photographers from C4 Photo safaris ventured into Mashatu Game Reserve in the Tuli Block, Botswana. This time around, we didn’t have any guests joining us, but we embarked on a different mission – to launch C4’s YouTube channel. Each of us was tasked with preparing two videos, leveraging our individual strengths. This included scripting, selecting and providing background images, and presenting it all on camera. While it may sound simple, I assure you, it was a learning curve for most of us. Nevertheless, it turned out to be a fun and enlightening experience for everyone involved.

We are thrilled to share that we are diving into this exciting journey, bringing you fresh video content on all things wildlife photography and safaris. Watch the video below to catch a glimpse of what we have in store for you.

Mashatu Photo Safari November 2024

The Mashatu Game Reserve has emerged as a premier safari destination, easily becoming my favourite as a standout choice for capturing remarkable predator photography. Situated in the southeastern reaches of Botswana, neighboring South Africa and Zimbabwe, Mashatu boasts diverse landscapes ranging from the verdant Limpopo Valley to rocky Mopane woodlands nestled within striking hilly terrain. These varied environments are crisscrossed by arid river beds, offering prime habitats for the predators that thrive within Mashatu.

In November, I will be hosting a photo workshop in Mashatu that promises to be an unparalleled highlight for all participants. Building upon the remarkable sightings of Leopards and Lions from last year, this year’s workshop guarantees an equally exceptional safari experience. We will be exploring various photographic techniques and subjects will be seamlessly woven into the backdrop of Mashatu’s remarkable predator viewing opportunities.

Join me on this epic photographic adventure and create memories that will last a lifetime! Oh, wow! Amazing video and photos. Especially loved the music! Of course, I am not surprised. We are so excited for your new venture. If your trip is even close to the experience you treated us to in August 2023 your visitors will leave “walking in sunshine” for a very long time. Best to you, Lil & Cliff Costa
